Dr. Badgwell joined the VIP Pediatrics team in 2014. She graduated from Texas A&M Medical School in 1999 and then completed her residency in Med/Peds (combining Internal Medicine and Pediatrics) at Ohio State University in 2003. She has previously practiced in Ohio, Houston and Arkansas in hospitals and office settings before finally settling back in Houston in 2013. She is Board Certified in Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
After practicing in a variety of settings, Dr. Badgwell has learned that time with patients is an important factor in delivering quality care. She agrees with the VIP philosophy of treating each patient as important and strives to treat each patient as if he/she were one of her own.
As a mother of three, ages 7, 11 and 13, she can also identify with parents and the challenges of raising healthy, happy kids. Through medical school to motherhood she has integrated both knowledge and real life experience to offer compassionate care for children.
When not in the office she enjoys exercising, spending time outdoors and volunteering at church and Casa El Buen Samaritano, a free clinic for impoverished patients. She also is vice president of the board for a 501(c)(3) organization, Project One Day, that is working toward creating cooperative childcare for low-income single parents in Houston.
